Click the bit.ly link in the italicized paragraph at the end of Ellen's column, then scroll down to "British Library Events Online." Click the link to "Living Knowledge Network events." The Gaiman/Pratchett events are still in the future but you can stream a Tiffany Aching talk right now!

Alas for your Delia's pinkie! I hope it has mended well. If photos could be attached here, I would send you a pic of the teeny perfect fingers of Delia Grace, my 7 month old granddaughter. (I believe my son was thinking of Lois Bujold's Cordelia when he named her) I will try to catch the livestream of this event, it sounds magical.

best, Melissa

Hm. I'm not good at jokes. I have read all of your books, I think (unless I've missed something), some of them twice, and would love to stream this event, if you have any comps left. I am interested in folklore, and have an MA in English morris dance history, which is actually a sort of ethnography of the the 1st women's morris team in the USA. Regardless, this event sounds amazing, and I hope you have lots of fun with it!

Ellen, I love the pictures of you, Delia and the rainbows, and I am sorry about Delia’s injury. I have never been to the new British Library building, and now never will. I visited the British Library when it was at the British Museum. I wish I could see the new building. I intend to watch the livestream and am getting excited about it. One of my best friends is currently studying for her MFA at the University of Glasgow; I should ask her if she knows about the Centre for Fantasy and the Fantastic.

OMG I have no idea what to do that you would like.

Wax poetic about my long-time love of reading your work (and Terri Windling's, and Charles de Lint and and and all the fantasy greats)?

Show you a pic of my 1990 HB edition of _Thomas The Rhymer_? (Oh, but it appears I can't add pics.) (Also, I agree with Sam's cover choice. It's the most beauteous.) (AND, I have the same one as shown in your pic captioned 'Morning view in Arromanches, late October, 2023'!)

Show pics of my cats and turtle? (But again, can't add photos. Bummer.)

Maybe I'm just teary, but your post made me cry a little. Beautifully written, interesting, and the RAINBOWS!

I would absolutely freaking love to attend the event virtually. (I will never in a million years make it to London.) I hadn't purchased a code due to feeling guilty about spending the £10 (funds are in short supply when you're on disability), tho I kept eyeing it.

And maybe this is why - you'll pick me for one of your codes?

Either way, blessings and may the event go beautifully. I can't imagine how it wouldn't.

I remember talking Thomas with you, way back when we were but eggs at the mothership. The excitement I felt when I learned you had become an Author was magnified when you later did Thomas such justice. And there you are, in such company, part of an exhibit that sounds so very magical. (Also, I switched to a type of Continental knitting a couple of decades ago and it improved my speed and stitches, and was far easier on my hands, fwiw. I hope it works for Delia.)

This is such a lovely missive; tghe abundance of joy--at the gorgeous things you were seeing and the pure magic of collaboration--made me smile so much. If you've any codes left, I would absolutely adore one: you can send to liamskitten@gmail.com. (If not, I absolutely understand, as I'm very late to the party). Wishing you no hiccups and a fabulous performance!

Except the event would have to show up on the page! That's what's really concerning.

I was unclear. I'm wondering if on the day or after the fact you just click on the little microphone and go directly to the livestream or video.

I've been trying like hell to sign up for live-streaming (oh, how I wish I could be there live!) but I can't find the event on any of the links you provided. Am I being stupid?

Thank you for introducing me to Freda. I am currently devouring her catalogue. As for something you might like, how about some English folk in exchange for all this English folk? Forgive me if you are already familiar, but I recently found Grace Petrie's queer version of Richard Thompson's Beeswing from the album Queer as Folk and am very smitten with it.

Hopefully the streaming ticket purchase will be back up and running soon because I would hate to miss this.

Hi E, I will try for the streaming — maybe over the weekend. I’d love to hear what Sam comes up with. Robbie and I send you and D hugs and love.

I have sent a forwarded to other friends of mine in London who I think will enjoy the show! I am gutted to miss it, and even now, forces are squeezing my time to see it virtually. I do hope the streaming works out -- I bought a ticket, and the BNL is not being responsive to requests for information. I have asked whether the codes *will* be sent out on the 9th as they are supposed to be ... or what is happening with their cyber attack. Alas. Crickets so far. I'm sure the affair will be a dream. I do not know if any of these tidbits equal Something that you like. But it is my birthday today, so take pity upon a sad sack on his happy day!

Something you would like? I think you would like to know when you initiated the Pinky Swear luncheon at Hollins, you were a genius. It was not a deadline. It became a goal, a promise and it alleviated all stress about time constraint.

Is it possible my Thomas book has a cloth cover? I am unpacking, haven’t run across it yet. But it is early in hibernation. I should run across it soon.
