BREAKING NEWS: Tickets for Thomas are online!
The British Library comes through for the Thursday, Nov. 9 event
Good news for those interested in attending virtually or visibly
Journeys To The Land Of Faerie
at the Pigott Theatre, Knowledge Centre, British Library, London
[ Terri Windling’s Patreon just sent out this note, and I am shamelessly stealing from the text: ]
Tickets for tomorow's Journeys to the Land of Faerie now available!
The British Library had a 'cyber event' which has prevented people buying tickets online.1
A link has been provided, though, just in time for you to buy tickets for tomorrow's (Thursday 9th) evening of stories, song, myth and mystery with Terri Windling, Ellen Kushner, Sam Lee, Jeanette Ng and Rob Maslen.
The new, improved link is here.
Online tickets are £6.502 [which allows you to watch the live streaming and/or see the recording - as our BL contact explains: Anyone who has pre-booked for the online version can watch it live or for the next 48 hours on catch up. Usually a short pause before the catch up version is made live].
My deepest thanks to everyone who has made me so happy in the little sweepstakes for comps from my last letter. I have given them out with glee! If buying a ticket is a financial hardship, those, please let me know and I’ll see what I can do.
And that’s a good place to stop.
Your pal,
Ellen
My theory is that Trickster Spirits were trying to make sure we were unable to divulge their secrets . . . but they are no match for British Library Gnomes!
That’s about $8 U.S.
Success! Thanks for letting us know.
I just watched the recording of the event (I'd bought a virtual ticket ahead of time but family stuff came up on the night of the event so I couldn't watch it live), and I just wanted to say how much I absolutely LOVED your Thomas adaptation! Of course I'd loved the book when I read it many years ago, but this new version was just so lovely and magical in its own very distinct way. (Also, I'm now listening to Sam Lee's Old Wow as I type this comment! So thank you for introducing me to his music, too.)
